Paddle Canada is dedicated to the promotion of all forms of recreational paddling to Canadians of diverse abilities, culture or age, advocating for a healthy natural environment, and to develop an appreciation for the canoe and the kayak in our Canadian heritage.
The Wilderness Canoe Association is a non-profit organization of individuals interested in the outdoors and in wilderness travel, mainly by canoe, kayak, backpacking, and by skis and snowshoes. Their goals include promotion of weekend and longer wilderness outings in every season and exploring Canadian wilderness in a responsible and self-propelled way. Read the Letter of Support.
The Quetico Foundation is closely associatd with Quetico Provincial Park, a park which together with the Boundary Waters Canoe Area in the United States, forms the largest international wilderness preserve in the world. The foundation, since its formation in 1908, has since expanded its program to cover other wilderness areas with a focus on conserving them in their natural state for future generation.
The Friends of Quetico Park is a community-based not-for-profit charitable organization whose primary goal is the preservation of Quetico Provincial Park as a unique wilderness area. Read the letter of support.
